Josh Neuman is an entertainment and music industry pioneer with over 25 years experience. Before joining leading Roblox game dev studio MELON in late 2020, he co-founded 88rising, where he served as COO for 6 years, developing the company from the ground up to become a leading Asian music & media lifestyle brand with a huge digital footprint, artist roster, festival properties, product/apparel and brand division. Previously, Josh managed artists such as Tiësto and Fall Out Boy and build major artist management firms. Josh also founded Recreation Worldwide, a brand creative agency and the THUMP EDM content platform, which were acquired by VICE Media in 2016. Josh has been at the intersection of celebrity culture, media, brands and marketing throughout his career and has architected some of the most innovative partnerships in the space. He is married with two boys, ages 8 and 10, who are of mixed south-Asian background. Josh is dedicated to supporting cultural diversity and empowerment.

I am most famous as the author of best-selling Ruby on Rails books, a little less so as the original founder of Hashrocket, which during its heyday, was one of the worldʼs most admired web design & development shops. As its Founder & CEO, I grew Hashrocket to over 35 employees and almost $7M in revenues in 2010, before selling my stake in order to work on product-driven startups.
