About The Speaker

Turo Pekari

Turo Pekari is a music innovation specialist, researcher, advisor, ecosystem & community builder based in Helsinki, Finland. Currently he leads international operations, innovation and insights at Music Finland. For years, Turo has been in the forefront of music innovation by running Nordic music innovation labs and developing future concepts for rights tech, as well as leading innovation, data strategy and foresight work at Teosto. Turo is also the co-founder of #NextStageChallenge, a pan-European music innovation initiative, acting in expert roles for European Commission and the Finnish Government for copyright infrastructure development work, European innovation ambassador of CreativeSHIFT and working as a mentor and advisor in various international startup and music business accelerator programs. He speaks regularly in conferences around the world including SXSW, Musicbiz, MWC, Sonar+D, Eurosonic, Slush.

Irène Bauza

A law graduate of the Universitat Oberta de Cataluña, Irene joined Unison as VP of Operations from her previous role as Head of Publishing at Blanco y Negro Music. Hugely experienced in music publishing both in Europe and the USA, where she spent four years resident. Irene coordinates her current position at Unison with lecturing duties at the SAE Institute in Barcelona, where she teaches copyright, publishing and music supervision to Music Business students.

Mandy Aubry is Director of Business Development for EMEA and APAC at Songtrust, the world's largest technology solution for global music publishing royalty collection and administration. Aubry is based in the Netherlands and leads Songtrust’s expansion across EMEA and APAC. Leveraging her unique talent for demystifying the complexities surrounding music publishing, and committed to its democratisation, Aubry’s mission is to provide music creators in established and emerging music markets alike with global music publishing administration and collection infrastructure. Her tireless effort to achieve this goal was recognised by Billboard and she appears on their 2021 International Power Players list. She has 25 years of experience in the music industry, previously working for music publishing administrator Fintage House, and the renowned hard rock and heavy metal record label, Roadrunner Records. Aubry also holds the Rightsholder position on the Executive Board of the Association for Electronic Music

He works on digital rights and royalties and the technical feasibility of copyright policies with creative enterprises, digital service providers, industry trade bodies and government agencies. Philippe directs the research and innovation activities at Digiciti – a company spearheading the convergence of media, entertainment, technology and copyright policy to create digital infrastructures. He is also an industry associate at the Centre for Blockchain Technologies – a multi-disciplinary research centre at University College London focusing on the adoption and integration of distributed ledger technologies in our socio-economic system.
