Ventura Barba

Ventura Barba is the CEO and partner of Advanced Music, the organizing company of Sónar and Sónar + D among other different activities.

Ventura holds a degree in law from the University of Barcelona and has an MBA from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

From 2008 until 2014, Ventura was the president of the consulting company Tenzing Media, a business development company specialized in the field of creative industries, as well as director of the Postgraduate in Management of Companies of the Music Industries at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Ventura worked for Yahoo! from January 2000 to 2009. Until 2002 he was the General Secretary of Yahoo! Spain and from June 2003 to June 2007 he was the director of the Department of Legal Affairs and Business of Yahoo! International Music. In June 2007 he was promoted to the position of General Manager of Yahoo! Music Europe and Canada. Previously, he worked for BMG Music Spain and Portugal, as Director of the Legal & Business Affairs. Before that, he worked as a lawyer at Enrich Law Firm, where he was head of the Department of New Technologies and entertainment. He also worked at the Collecting Society of Authors of Spain (SGAE) and in the film industry in Los Angeles (CA).

In the academic sector, he is a co-founder and member of the academic board of the Institute for Internet Development (ISDI) as well as a mentor of the IMPACT accelerator.

As the Founder of the advisory agency TheLynk and the Entertainment Lead at Startup Sesame, Yvan connects the dots between startups and creative industries. Startup Sesame is the first Tech event driven startup acceleration program in Europe.Yvan is a regular speaker and lecturer who is specialized in the data-driven disruption of cultural content economy. Adam Arrigo

Adam is the CEO and co-founder of Wave, the market leader in interactive virtual entertainment that turns artists into digital avatars.
Adam combines his skills as a game designer, sound designer, product lead and – most importantly – musician to make sure Wave is going beyond traditional live streaming with virtual experiences that serve the next generation of concert-goers.

Prior to co-founding Wave (formerly TheWaveVR), Adam spent several years at game development studio Harmonix, where he worked on AAA titles including Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Rock Band 3, The Beatles: Rock Band, Dance Central, Dance Central 2, Fantasia: Music Evolved, Harmonix Music VR and more.

He also worked on the Vox Photo Project as lead producer for this charity organization that teaches photography to kids in at-risk communities in Ghana, Bangladesh, India, Guatemala, Colombia, Indonesia and Los Angeles. He was also the sole product person at LA-based music tech startup Zya, where he led development of the 2015 Music App of the Year, Ditty. He is also a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and synth fan.

Sarasara

Sarasara is a French singer, songwriter, electronic musician and record producer. Born in Fourmies, Nord, she began her music career in 2014. Following the success of her self-released David Bowie cover, ‘Heroes’, Sarasara moved to the UK to work on her first extended play in collaboration with Matthew Herbert. The EP drew the attention of Björk’s label, One Little Indian, who signed Sarah in January 2016. Sarasara subsequently released her debut studio album, Amor Fati in November 2016 to critical acclaim, being featured in The Guardian’s Future 50 rising music stars to look out for, Clash (magazine), Rolling Stone and Tsugi. Her work has been likened to Björk, Kelela, Aaliyah and Aphex Twin, drawing on various genres including electronic music, trip hop, R&B, industrial and avant-garde.
